EVENT: Children’s rights to protection – from whom and from what?

Children’s Rights International (CRI) are excited to be hosting the third seminar hosted with Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in their Children’s rights to protection seminar series “Children’s rights to protection – from whom and from what?”.

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Garry Warne, Secretary of the RCH alumni and Board member of CRI and will include speakers such as Magistrate Kay Macpherson who is head of the Koori Hearing Family Day Court, and the Family Drug Treatment Court. Professor Mark Mecurio, Chief of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Director of the Ethics Program at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital will also provide expert commentary. The seminar will look at children’s rights under the UN Convention with a focus on the medico-legal aspects of Australia’s child protection policies.

The previous two seminars have been such successes we are sure that this seminar will insight into a complex and important topic.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday, 5 September 2018 at 4:20-5:30pm at Ella Latham Auditorium, Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
