What we have been up to in Geelong

February 2025 – Geelong Youth Engagement Long Lunch

Special Counsel Jade Hopper and Associate Stefanie Tate attended the Geelong Youth Engagement (GYE) Long Lunch on Friday alongside Kris Langford from PAL Accounting & Advisory.

The work that GYE does for the Geelong community is shown in the success stories of the young people who complete their program and speak with such confidence at the GYE events.

June 2024 – the Better Together Conference

On 15 June 2024, Nicholes Family Lawyers hosted a panel titled ‘’What makes a family – is it the law, science, love – or all of that and more?” at the Better Together conference, an annual national event hosted by The Equality Project.

The panel delved into topics related to Assisted Reproductive Technology, including the surrogacy process, and the medical, psychological, financial, and legal challenges of starting a family. It also covered how intended parents can prepare for parenthood and approach conversations about unique family structures.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Equality Project, all attendees and our panellists, whose engagement was crucial to the event’s success. Read more here.

May 2024 – IDAHOBIT

To help celebrate IDAHOBIT Day, Nicholes Family Lawyers were proud to be an Official Partner at today’s City of Greater Geelong International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) event.

IDAHOBIT Day is held on 17 May each year to celebrate 17 May 1990 – the date when homosexuality was removed from the World Health Organisation (WHO) Classification of Diseases.

Nicholes Family Lawyers is a proud and active ally and supporter of the Rainbow community and congratulates Georgie on her inspiring address, Daniel for his wonderful work as MC and the City of Greater Geelong for putting on such an important event. Read more here.
