In this podcast, Senior Partner Keturah Sageman and Associate Lauren Battersby are joined by Jeremy Morley from The Law Office of Jeremy D. Morley International Family Law, based in New York to discuss the response to COVID-19 from an international perspective. Jeremy is the former co-chair of the International Family Law Committee of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association, and a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. Jeremy’s repertoire extends to radio and television appearances where he shares his expertise on international child abduction and divorce law.

This podcast provides insight into the way in which the family law jurisdiction in the United States is adapting, in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic and adjusting its operation to the ‘new normal’. Jeremy provides great insight into how lawyers can assist their services to their clients while navigating these uncertain times. Particularly, Jeremy discusses the recent groundbreaking US Supreme Court Case of Monasky v Taglieri, which relates to habitual residence. Jeremy also discusses the International Family Law cases he has run in India and Japan, and how this has been affected by the current circumstance.
