On Thursday, 9 October 2014 the Victorian Women Lawyers held an event with an expert panelist discussing career progression, personal branding, marketing and how to ask those “tough questions” faced by lawyers with 2 to 6 years post-admission experience. One of our Associates, Claire Walczak is a member of the VWL Networking committee and through this role assisted in planning and organising the event. Some of our other Associates attended the event and from all accounts the night was a huge success.
The expert panelist consisted of:
- Mark Huntington, partner at DLA Piper.
- Melanie Wilkinson, CEO of Fenton Communications.
- Tracey McDonald, Director of Cup Half Full.
Each of the industry experts shared their experiences and discussed some of the common issues faced by young lawyers and provided the audience with some practical tips to be implemented in the workplace.
