Bec discussed how family law intersects with the lives of queer and trans young people – including what happens when a child or teenager isn’t accepted at home, how this can play out in parenting disputes, and the supports that exist when safety and wellbeing are at risk. She also spoke about the importance of keeping a young person’s identity and mental health at the centre of parenting arrangements, and where both young people and parents can turn for help.
