Geelong Youth Engagement Corporate Long Lunch

Nicholes Family Lawyers was delighted to attend the Geelong Youth Engagement (GYE) Corporate Long Lunch in Geelong on Friday 24 February 2023.

GYE works to enhance outcomes for ‘at-risk’ youth in a range of innovative, highly effective and life-changing ways by encouraging engagement with education, employment and family; increasing youth confidence; building resilience; creating engagement; and increasing self-belief. They do incredibly important and highly effective work with the wonderful youth of Geelong and it was inspiring to attend along with our guests to show our support.

Nicholes Family Lawyers is also a proud sponsor of GYE’s Spring Back Geelong Program. The resilience-based program for Year 10 students takes young people out of school for two days a week for a term so they can undertake challenges and activities around Geelong such as surfing and sailing while also visiting businesses and government organisations. Participants in the program also attend presentations and receive expert training on topics including health, wellbeing and first-aid.

Congratulations to GYE – and the youth of Geelong – for the wonderful example you set. More information about GYE can be found here.
