Our Geelong office is a key part of the Nicholes Family Community. We see it as a tangible extension of our own lives in Geelong – including for example the work that Managing Partner Sally Nicholes does for the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club and the Bellarine community more generally.

Here, we intend to post regular updates about the sorts of things are doing as we build Geelong – and would welcome your input!

As a starter, we are loving having face to face meetings again – both with clients and with Friends of the Firm. We are helping clients across a range of issues including:

• A proposal by the parent of a child who wished to relocate the child intrastate;
• Serious family violence incidents. We note here the local support postcard we have produced for people experiencing family violence or if you know anyone that may be (see below).
• Court applications made by parents who have not seen their children in years.
• Successfully navigating a complex valuation process, including the ownership of a complex asset pool issues relating to the potential receipt of a substantial inheritance.

Outside of the client work, we have been actively connecting with old friends of the firm – and new ones.
