Nicholes Family Lawyers are a proud sponsor of The Equality Project’s “Better Together 2020” Conference, which will be held in Melbourne at Williamstown Town Hall on 10-11 January. Since its inauguration in 2018, Better Together has been attended by over 1,000 Australians and delegates from the US, UK, Canada, Sweden and the Philippines. Providing a space for voices to be heard, the conference facilitates discussion surrounding LGBTIQA+ rights in Australia. It provides “an opportunity to establish meaningful connections so we can work collaboratively to cultivate positive change”.
For the first time the “Trans & Gender Diverse Caucus” will also be held on the 9th January. The caucus discusses issues confronting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Intersex, Indigenous, Disabled, Deaf and QTPOC communities.
On the Friday, Nicholes Partner Bec Dahl will be part of a panel presentation called “Ally 101: Exploring the Role of Allies in Supporting & Empowering the LGBTIQA+ Community”.
